Using just a smart outlet will not work, you must add a relay circuit to be able to use your voice to control the fireplace. This is the circuit you need. Under your fireplace, find the wire that connects to your wall switch usually a white wire You will find wire connectors where you can pull the connection apart and disconnect it.Connect the 4 connectors to the newly disconnected connectors. Peal off the sticky tape and secure under fireplace. The circuit is now ready for power. You will need to put your smart outlet into the power outlet (make sure your outlet has power) turn smart outlet off. Plug in the 5 volt USB power adapter. Plug in the USB cable into the USB adapter and then connect the micro USB connection to the relay circuit.
