This one of a kind soil probe offers the benefits of a “closed end” soil probe, but the hinged jaw quickly transforms the unit into an “Open Ended” soil probe providing easy access to the entire soil core.Outfitted with a side footpeg allows the user to easily step the probe into the ground..The overall length of this probe is 42” with a sample recovery length of 12”.The ID of the tip when closed is approx. 9/16” while the OD of the probe is 1”.This soil probe is constructed of a heavy .109w DOM Steel for extra strength.
