Description
The bio-shield UV-c air sanitizer system kills air contaminants that can cause colds, flu, sinus infections, allergies, asthma, and other serious illnesses. Bio-shield uses germicidal UV lamps that deliver 22 watts of sanitizing UV-C power to heating and air conditioning units that circulate air throughout the home. UVC light is commonly used inside air ducts to disinfect the air. This is the safest way to employ UV because direct UVC exposure to human skin or eyes may cause injuries, and installation of UVC within an air duct is less likely to cause exposure to skin and eyes. The UV-C rays remove the bio-film collecting on the air conditioning coils and other a/c parts, greatly increasing the efficiency of the a/c unit. It also eliminates the need for costly ductwork cleaning and uses less electricity than a 25-watt light bulb. The bio shield air sanitizer system is installed on the exterior of the HVAC equipment.
