This is a new replacement charcoal filter made by new comfort for 3500 / 3000 model air purifiers. Charcoal filters are proven to safely filter odors from the air without the use of harmful ozone filtration used in many other air purifiers. It works perfect and is easy to replace. This will only fit the new comfort 3500 / 3000 models purchased from June 2012 and later, this will not fit any models before June 2012. Most other air purifiers that remove odors from the air us activated oxygen and produce ozone. Tests have proven that high levels of activated oxygen and ozone actually can be harmful to your health. Many of the other air purifier's that uses activated oxygen suggests you to leave your home when using activated oxygen (yikes). That is why this new comfort air purifier does not use activated oxygen and produces no ozone. Instead the uv bulbs, carbon, tio2, and charcoal filters work together to safely remove odors from the air.
