Open new doors in your woodworking experience by creating your own entry and passage doors. This 3-piece router bit set includes: a special tenon cutter with shims to form tenons of up to 1-1/16" long and 3/16" to 5/8" thickness; roundover profile stile cutter with shims; and an inverted roundover profile cutter to form mating rails to match the stile profile. In addition to doors, the tenon cutter included with this set can be used for other woodworking projects that require tenons, such as tables and chairs. Use the stile cutter to mill the coped edges and groove to accept raised panels or flat panels of various thicknesses. Once the tenon is formed with the tenon cutter, the inverted profile cutter under-cuts the rail to mate with the coped pattern on the stile. Multiple passes are made to form tenons of any length to fit stiles of any width. While a 2-1/4 HP router will work, CMT recommends using a 3 HP (15 amp) router or larger.
