It was in the early 70's when Dmitry's father, a well-known soccer coach and an amateur painter, encouraged his interest in arts. His father noticed Dmitry's exceptional talent and the uniqueness of his artistic vision when they would paint together. Once his talent was recognized, Dmitry continued advancing his skills through anything that could grow his abilities, ranging from attending art schools to becoming an apprentice at the studios of professional artists. The turbulent, political times of the early nineties caused Dmitry to leave Belorussia for Chicago. Once there, the new opportunities and Dmitry's endless curiosity in different mediums of visual arts and crafts led him to become one of the best artists in the Chicago-land area, and some other areas of the United States, in faux finishing and home painting design. After 20 years, he continues to excel in his field.
