THIS LISTING WILL ALLOW YOU TO RECIEVE 6 PACK OF "REGULAR MOUTH" MASON JAR FERMENTING LID KITS. JARS NOT INCLUDED..The lids and seals on the supplied "After Ferment" lids that come standard in our kits will hold more than enough for ordinary short term storage. The lids and gaskets are not suitable for hot processing or canning operations. Always use the metal lids with the attached approved sealing rubber formed in the lid for those purposes..The gaskets are 2MM think. Not to be confused with "mil" which translates to 1/1000th of an inch! They are thick but allow great tightening ability to create an excellent seal. Keep in mind that an airlock will only build upto 1/2 PSI before it dumps..The fermenting lids are sturdy BPS free, food-grade white plastic that can possibly be cleaned in the top shelf of the dishwasher but not advised. The threads are strong and well designed. There is ample room for our 2mm thick gasket and still more than enough threads to achieve an exceptional seal. The silicone grommett is of the same quality as the supplied gasket and comes pre-installed
