This bypass valve will work on all models of the Mastertemp and Max E Therm.Assembly (Step 1): Turn off system and all power from the breaker. Remove Drain Plug under the Manifold. Loosen the inlet/outlet piping unions. Unscrew and remove the Thermal Regulator Plug..Assembly (Step 2): Remove the Manifold by removing the 10 bolts holding it together. Carefully pry the bottom plate off of the Manifold. The manifold O-ring and insert will come off..Assembly (Step 3): Remove the baffle plate to gain access to the Internal bypass valve chamber. Remove the bypass valve assembly and replace it with a new one..Assembly (Step 4): To replace the valve, reverse the steps listed above. Use the Swimables bypass to ensure your heater is back up and running in no time!
