This ready to hang, gallery-wrapped art piece features a photograph of cows in a field. Prominent Colors: Tan, Black, Green, Brown Joseph Roberts studied Photography from two Vietnam Veterans. The first being an actual war photographer, who was teaching classes at SCCC on Long Island. Here Joseph learned the fundamentals of light and shadow through classic darkroom techniques. The second vet was a tank commander who had turned to digital photography as a hobby in his later years. This second opportunity seemed to be a sign to now move into the world of digital SLR cameras under the trained eye of a vet. Giclee (jee-clay) is an advanced printmaking process for creating high quality fine art reproductions. The attainable excellence that Giclee printmaking affords makes the reproduction virtually indistinguishable from the original piece. The result is wide acceptance of Giclee by galleries, museums, and private collectors. Gallery wrap is a method of stretching an artist's canvas so that the canvas wraps around the sides and is secured a hidden, wooden frame. This method of stretching and preparing a canvas allows for a frameless presentation of the finished painting.
