Description
Resembling the face of an African elder, this mask is hand-carved from a single piece of sese wood. Ghanaian artisan Abdul Aziz Mohamadu creates this mask, which depicts a serene face with alert eyes. An accent of embossed aluminum decorates the forehead. This mask is named Ekundayo, which means "sorrow becomes joy" in Nigerian.
