Description

Over 70 years ago, a unique shirt made from hand-printed kabe crepe was created in a tiny tailor shop in Honolulu. It captured the spirit of the Hawaiian Islands, and would later become famous as the aloha shirt. As its popularity grew, it came to be accepted in the Islands as formal wear appropriate for all but the most rigid of occasions. With this season’s original prints inspired by ka loa‘a pono—the Hawaiian principle of harvesting with respect for the land and the sea—our Pataloha® Shirt is made from 100% organic cotton dobby. Cool and comfortable in hot and humid weather, it has a notched collar, coconut buttons, single left-chest pocket and straight hem with side vents; the prints are finely matched at the pocket and placket. With a more traditional fit, it’s a collector’s item that stays true to Hawaiian custom—wear it anywhere a celebration is likely to break out. The Men's Pataloha® Shirt is fully backed by our Ironclad Guarantee and you can find it on Patagonia.com.
