In Norse mythology, Idunn is the goddess associated with youth and apple, she is also the wife of Bragi, the god of poetry. Idunn is the keeper of the magic immortality apples, which the Norse gods must consume to avoid old age. The trickster god Loki once tricked Idunn and kidnapped Idunn to the realm of the giants which caused the other Norse gods to grow old, Loki later rescued Idunn by turning into an eagle and carrying her away in his claws. This beautifully crafted cold cast bronze statue of Idunn measures 8.5 inches high, 3.25 inches long and 3 inches wide, and depicts her standing in a dress on a stone path holding a basket of magic apples in her hands, and wears a crown of pink flowers in her hair.
