Framed Whale Watch by Amy Valiante Matted Nautical Creatures Painting Reproduction Art Print. This painting was inspired by my trip to see my mother who lives on Cape Cod. We traveled from Brewster to Provincetown one Saturday to see the whales on a tour. It amazed me how close the whales came to the boat. The number of fishermen who were out two and half hours from shore on their small fishing boats was fascinating. Acrylic paints worked after a sketch was established with a color pencil. Water was filled in and later palette knife techniques were applied. The reference was found online in many different sources.
