In 1906 Juan Gris met Pablo Picasso and participated in the development of Cubism. Known as a Analytic Cubism with deconstruction and simultaneous viewpoints of objects. Painted in 1912, Gris depicted Picasso as a painter with his palette in hand. Inscribed "Homage a Pablo Picasso" at the bottom right of the painting further illustrates the admiration that Gris had for Picasso. Frame Color: Suede Premier
