Description
This collection celebrates the beauty and character of reclaimed Old Growth wood. Thick slab floor planks were salvaged from deconstructed early 20th century homes, and buildings in and around Chicago and transformed into stunning pieces of furniture. By their nature, salvaged wood planks may be somewhat uneven, and may cup or bow slightly over time, further enhancing their rustic one-of-a-kind character. Cracks will be present but they do not reduce the strength and longevity. Salvaged, recycled planks often have evidence of their previous life and purpose such as nail holes. These holes were plugged and filled for the most practical surface possible while maintaining the character of the wood.
