Colored vintage rugs are produced from older Turkish rugs of at least 40-50 years of age. Hand-knotted wool rugs were neutralized from their initial state and then overdyed to produce remarkable chromatic compositions, while still retaining the essence of their original designs. This is a technique that traditionally performed on vintage hand-knotted wool rugs, by which the original color is removed undergo a gentle dying process and then a single vibrant color is added, insofar as the initial patterns don’t completely fade, Over dying allows to save beautiful antique rugs that may be worn and restore them to a new found glory. Old-antique Turkish rugs are stripped of their original colors, over-dyed and reborn, making each a one-of-a-kind piece. Vintage look blends beautifully with modern colors in this collection.
