Description

Though modest in size, this wall décor from Awudu Saaed will not go unnoticed. The artisan carves the slightly simian-looking visage by hand from rubberwood and details it with brown, black and red paint. A beautifully-detailed bird formed from recycled glass beads decorates the forehead. Additional beads cover both cheeks. The artisan names his creation Serie, which means 'laughter' in the Akan tongue.
