This aerial panoramic photograph of Vancouver was taken by Christopher Gjevre. It shows downtown Vancouver with English Bay to the left, False Creek winding around the front, and Burrard Inlet to the right in the distance. The three bridges crossing False Creek from left to right are the Burrard Bridge, Granville Bridge and Cambie Street Bridge. The white dome to the right is BC Place Stadium, home to the BC Lions football team. Left of downtown is Stanley Park, a 1000-acre evergreen oasis visited by over eight million people each year. Vancouver, host of the 2010 Winter Olympics, was ranked one of the best cities to live in the world, in a Quality of Life survey.
