Introducing a series of original ball designs created by Wilson Design Labs featuring design led, performance driven, and court ready basketballs. These basketballs represent the collective heart, individual stories, and meaningful perspectives that shape the game. SPIN: a note from the designer – As product designers we almost always observe our designs in a static state. However, in sporting goods our designs are constantly in motion so this is an element we have been considering more in our design approach lately. Having a graphic that works while sitting still and is further elevated when the ball is in rotation is something we have played around with but SPIN is the first concept to actually move forward. The goal with this graphics package is to be a call to action for athletes to play with the ball and ultimately get out and hoop more.
