Though our adhesive is water-resistant, vinyl surfaces must be free of dust, oil, and moisture to create the strongest bond..Tip 3. Apply a final bead of caulking to achieve permanent seal between the trim and drywall. If the gap the trim is covering exceeds 1", be sure to use a quality elastomeric sealant to hold trim to drywall.
