The taste is almost like spinach, with a touch of Italian parsley. The fresh leaves of nettle irritate the skin, but the "stinging" constituents quickly dissipate when the herb is dried. Stinging nettle has a variety of applications. It can make tasty herbal teas, soups, smoothies, and stir-frys. This product's herbaceous aroma makes it an ideal ingredient for DIY skin care products, as well as wellness teas and shampoos. To prepare as a tea, pour 8 oz. boiling water over 2 tsp. herb. Cover and steep for 5-10 minutes, strain and serve immediately. Our organic stinging nettle leaves are picked right before the blossoms bloom to deliver the best leaves possible.
