The kettle can produce 27oz of hot water in just nine minutes when powered by two 18V LXT® 5.0Ah batteries (sold separately). With a focus on safety, the kettle automatically shuts off when the water is boiled, it has a boil-dry feature that does not allow for operation when empty, and a sensor that prevents the kettle from operating when not on a stable surface. It’s part of Makita’s expanding 18V LXT System, the world’s largest cordless tool system powered by 18V lithium-ion slide-style batteries.
