The Makita 8-1/2-Inch Slide Compound Miter Saw runs on a direct-drive, 10.5-Amp motor that moves the saw smoothly through 12-inch, 90-degree or 8-1/2-inch, 45-degree cross-cuts. The saw makes accurate compound miter cuts thanks to a linear ball-bearing system that glides the blade precisely on the cutline. The Makita slide compound miter saw has left- and right-mitering capacity of up to 60 degrees. Each side has positive stops at standard intervals. Set left bevel cuts with the slide miter saw at up to 45 degrees and secure them with a dual rear-handle bevel lock. LED task lighting enhances cutting accuracy.
