Our Eucalyptus globulus typically comes from a village in the Yunnan mountain area of southern China where it was planted to reforest the area 100 years ago. Distillers use the small pieces of wood the eucalyptus leaves are attached to supply the heat necessary to create steam for distillation. Using every part of the plant is our favorite way to source. We believe the highest quality essential oils and skincare oils come from plants that are grown where they thrive. We source from over 40 countries to secure the best oils possible. Our source visits allow us to obtain firsthand knowledge of growing practices, harvest cycles, environment, and worker conditions to ensure Aura Cacias vision, values and expectations are being met.
