The 15/16-in Prelude® XL Fire Guard™ grid system features main beams with a patented thermal expansion relief notch to help maintain structural integrity of the ceiling to meet code requirements. These main beams can be installed with our standard Prelude® cross tees, wall molding, and appropriate ceiling panels for residential code applications. They may also be paired with Armstrong® Fire Guard™ ceiling panels and XL8300 series cross tees to achieve fire-resistant UL ratings.
