-440C stainless steel balls provide maximum hardness, toughness and dimensional stability. -They are highly resistant to rolling-contact weariness. -440C stainless steel balls are used in a hardened condition, perform similarly to tool steels, and are suitable for antifriction bearings (rolling bearings). -440C stainless steel balls generally have excellent resistance to mild acids, alkalis, foods, fresh water and air. -440C balls are uses in bearings, valves, locking mechanisms, fasteners and quick-disconnect couplings.
