Description
Few plants are as low-maintenance as Oleander! And this one, which has been pruned to grow in a full, bushy shape, is sure to add tons of beauty to your garden or landscape. It flowers most in spring and autumn with red, pink, purple, or white flowers. Once established, it’s wonderfully drought tolerant. It also withstands summer heatwaves and both dry and humid weather. It can reach about 15 feet tall and wide. It blooms in spring and fall. Light: Grows best in full sun (at least 6 hours of direct sun per day) or part sun (morning shade with afternoon sun). Water: Drought tolerant once established but benefits from regular watering. Pruning: Can be pruned to keep it a desired size or shape but doesn’t require regular pruning. Typically, deer- and rabbit-resistant. Excellent in landscape beds, borders, or in mass plantings, and can also be used as a hedge or foundation plant. Zones 9-11, but can be grown anywhere as a landscape annual or in container gardens. Exposure to the sap of this plant may cause discomfort to individuals with a sensitivity to it upon contact.
