Description

Calatheas are a super-hip group of plants because their foliage features rich patterns and they tolerate low light, making them easy to place just about anywhere. Dottie was first discovered in 1998 in Apopka, Florida, and was patented by the breeder for how dark green its leaves are and the contrast of the hot pink variegation. In good conditions, it can grow about 12 inches tall and 24 inches wide, making it a lovely choice for desks, tabletops, plant cases, and large terrariums. It combines beautifully with other Calathea varieties, as well as most other houseplants, making it a versatile plant for your home or office décor. The height at shipping is approximately 15-inches tall, measured from the bottom of the pot to the top of the plant. The Calathea 'Dottie' ships in a 6-inch diameters self-watering pot. Fill with water the reservoir, and the wick will transfer the right amount of water to the soil. To help with water drainage, this container does have holes. The Calathea 'Dottie' is a slow, mounding grower and hardy in USDA Zone(s) 11-12. Plants are living things; each one is slightly different, so the plant you receive may vary from the photo. Shipped fresh from our farm to you, Costa Farms is passionate about delivering happy, healthy, beautiful plants. Costa Farms plants are not intended for human or animal consumption.
