It is still on display today in the ApHC’s offices in Moscow, Idaho..The painting depicts a handsome chestnut blanket Appaloosa stallion standing watch over a herd of mares and foals amid a pastoral landscape. Each individual Breyer model is prepped and finished by hand and then turned over to the painting department for hand painting and detailing.
