Frank Lloyd Wright collaborated with two of his clients to publish The House Beautiful when he was 27 years old and in the early stages of his architectural career. He was inspired by an essay by William C. Gannet that he heard in a sermon about the importance of simplicity and craftsmanship in the home. The text was framed by Wrightâs original designs inspired by ironwork and Middle Eastern tapestries that he admired. While only 90 original copies of the book were published and given mostly to friends and colleagues, you can enjoy a piece of this treasured Frank Lloyd Wright history in your own home.
