The Do it 1-1/2 In. MIP Mechanical ABS Vent Valve is a versatile solution for eliminating expensive secondary vent stacks. It can be used for sinks, basins, tubs, showers, vanities, and washing machines (please note that it is not suitable for toilets). With its 1-1/2" Male pipe threads, it offers easy installation. This vent valve comes packed 1 per Do it card. It is important to note that each drainage system using a Mechanical vent must have a main vent stack to atmosphere, located through the roof to vent the water closet. To ensure accessibility, it is recommended to install the mechanical vent in a readily accessible location and not in a sealed wall cavity. This vent valve is suitable for installation in structures not exceeding 2 stories in height and with non-corrosive water.
