The buttons are not all that responsive but so what, this thing is really great for what it is. My six year old son absolutely loves it. The variety of games is very good and the quality is more than decent. The battery charges quickly and while there's no indication of when charge is complete (just a red light when charging that doesn't turn off or change), no big deal, just leave the 600 mAh battery on a standard .5 - 1 A charger for a couple hours. The screen is bright and the resolution is decent and seems to have at least 4 hours of game play for charge. I've taken a couple sessions myself to play Tetris and Galaga.

Great! I bought 2; one for each kid. They love them. Only one works when connected to the tv but that’s ok since we really purchased them for individual use. Opening screens are not the same. One is a welcome song (Mario) and one goes straight to the game menu. They’re obviously duped but a great deal and I recommend them to everyone. Why pay for a “real” Nintendo DS when you can have basically the same thing. My nephew got a real Nintendo DS the same day my kids got this, and he chose to play this game console instead! Hilarious but kids want variety and this console has soooooo many games! Buy it!

We got this for our toddler who always wants to play with mom's and dad's. To that end it works fine. The games are mostly comical ports of well known games (e.g "Kung Fu Panda" is basically Super Mario Bros. with the graphics replaced to feature a panda and bamboo) but some are originals.

Battery life is meh, but, again, this isn't exactly the highest-end device. The fact that it IS rechargeable is enough to keep me happy.

The screen is so-so but honestly great for this price point. As a kind I would have absolutely died to get my hands on something like this.

It honestly felt surprisingly sturdy, but on the second day my wife brought it to me with the sound not working. Tried a number of things to get it working, but to no avail.

Still, for a ~$10 item, it's a fun little detour. I even pick it up and play for a few moments on occasion, even without sound.

If you're considering this as a gift it's honestly not bad for $10. It might be worth trying to stretch a bit more and get one with games that are more standard, but if money's tight this will provide a good deal of entertainment as long as it works. It's not going to be a Nintendo Switch, but not everyone can afford that.

For the money, you can't beat it. Most of the consoles in this price range are fundamentally the same, and this is probably the cheapest you can get. (At time of writing.) If you need a good distraction for a car trip, this might help and at this price point, you might be able to afford one for every child. :)
