It is a great frame, excellent value, good for older eyes and easy to see. Resolution is very good. Brightness is very good. The little frame support is not good, get a real one. It does take some time setting up with the menu and then there are some features when you touch the screen too. Big storage. Not sure how to get pictures to the frame storage. I will need to do some work to try to see if it will download from the email feature. So someone who knows how this little computer works will need to set it up.

We replaced a less expensive photo frame with this one. The first think I noticed was how much brighter the screen is (it's set at 80% brightness by default). Our other photo frame was a lot duller and since it was sitting near the TV, you barely noticed it. This one is definitely more vivid and makes the 3,000+ photos much easier to see.

Setup was a breeze, easily connected to WiFi for temperature/time display, etc. We don't want to see anyone else's photos, but you could easily receive photos from family & friends through the app to display on your photo frame.

This is only my second photo frame ever, but I'd definitely recommend it, would be great to set up an elderly parents home to send them photos.

A surprise "perfect gift"

Last fall, when a 'second cousin' (late Dad's cousin) turned 97 in a retirement home, I ordered this on a whim. I had it delivered to the home of her daughter (my third cousin) and told her that I had left the hard part to her. She (a super smart retired PhD) and her husband made it work and have repeatedly referred to it as "the gift of the decade". The family now remotely shares pictures - old memories and new - with their Mom. She reportedly loves it.

So this week, when I received news of another third cousin's 90th birthday - also in a retirement home - I figured to repeat one of my better decisions. Enter one of Amazon Prime's routine success stories, and it was delivered thr next day. No feedback yet, but I am hopeful for a repeat of my first success.

Pictures aren’t as vibrant

I love the screen size!! Pictures are clear and sharp and even I can enter pictures effortlessly. When the screen was in a horizontal position the colors appeared faded, but when I turned it vertical, it improved. I and others have added over 400 pictures and yet I keep seeing only about 100 of the same ones. I know they were all entered correctly as I saw them once or twice but now, no more. The size of the screen and clarity of pictures is what is most important to me, hence my 4 star rating.

I purchased this frame as a gift.

The frames comes with a support leg to create a stand, a power cord w/adapter, and a remote. A comprehensive manual is also included which takes you through the set up.

The set up is very straightforward with clear instructions being provided on the screen. Unlike most frames I've worked with in the past year this frame uses a large handheld remote instead of a touch screen to enter all your user information.

Once you set up the network connection, you need to download the software to your phone which will allow you to send pictures to the frame. The name of the app is Vphoto and it is available by scanning the QR code provided or by downloading from the app store. Set up takes just a few minutes.

Once you have the app downloaded and installed you scan another QR code to connect or bind your phone to the frame. Once this has been successfully done. You can use the vphoto app to select photos from your phone library and send them to the frame.

Once they are on the frame, you can use the frame remote to select tools and then Album settings to enter some additional settings into the frame. This includes brightness, language, Slideshow timing, picture sorting, caption on/off and some other details. When you are done, hit the home key to bring you back to the main menu screen.

In the main menu screen click on the image to go to the picture storage locations: All, internal, TF card, USB, folder and favorites. If you've downloaded images from your phone, you can select All or internal storage. If you hit ok on the remote the first image on the screen will be highlighted. Hit ok again and the slide show will start.

When I started my slide show, I noticed a thin blue line extending horizontally across the screen. It was evident in every picture and menu screens. This was an indication of a small problem with the screen.

Additionally, during a slide show, a menu bar with the caption will be displayed at the bottom of the screen and a round picture icon will appear on the left-hand side of the screen. Touching this icon with you finger should bring up more tools for customizing the slideshow: Changes such as: display configuration, pause, delete, zoom, slide transitions, timing and how many pictures show on the screen. On my frame the touch screen did not function. So, I was left with only the default slideshow set up.

I tried resetting the frame, reloading the Vphoto software, changing where I touched the screen, how much pressure I exerted and how long I left my finger in contact with no success.

So, I returned the frame and within one day, I had a new frame. The new frame had a gorgeous picture without the thin blue line, but the touch screen tools would still not open.

The Frame has a beautiful picture and the Vphoto app connects quickly and transfers your images in a short time. You can add users so that friends and family can send images to your frame. However, without the extra tools available using the touch screen, the frame is severely handicapped. This is a shame as the frame has great potential. I cannot recommend this frame.
