About the Author

My love of creative endeavors has taken me on a journey through various forms of artistry: drawing, painting, crafting, sewing, and writing. I still enjoy all those things, but mostly, anything to do with writing. From crafting the words to designing a page - I find happiness and my greatest satisfaction in this aspect of my creativeness. But whether I'm sewing a wedding dress or putting just the right words and design to a document, the best part of what I love to do comes from the joy I receive knowing I'm helping someone with my craft. Again, resumé writing hits the mark.
I've always been told by human resource people and other interviewers that I have an impressive resumé. This began happening back when I did not have the experience to place on a resumé as I currently do, yet I received compliments like this - many times with a job offer. After training to write resumés professionally, I realized I had developed a sort of instinct for good resumé writing. This has helped me in studying to become certified in this profession.
I love helping someone find their dream job or at least the one they desire most in the current season of their life. Perhaps it's a little nerdy of me, but I have fun researching the field my client is in or wants to enter. This helps me be sure I'm including the most relevant aspects of their work, along with the right keywords, to make a compelling account of their accomplishments and demonstrate their abilities.
When I receive a new client, I look at their resumé as basic ingredients for a new creation that will gain favor for my client with a prospective employer. Let's face it, most resumés are dull and require the reader to filter through a lot of data that they have no interest in reading. Most human resource personnel are too busy to do that. Instead, they toss it in the trash or stick it in a dead file, never to be read. My first goal is to be sure that never happens to my client and second, to ensure their resumé inspires a need to interview response. I love hearing that report from my client, "I got the interview!"
You already know you need some guidance to create an effective showpiece of your skills and accomplishments that will bring you the interview you seek. I intend to help you to that end.
