They looked plain and acted predictably in almost every way even as they stepped off the train and it sped away on the tracks leaving them behind. I felt they were the ones with the stories worth hearing. As I rode the train home that day, I could not immediately imagine a scenario where a man in his very early twenties would need a well-crafted suit, yet no one would be alerted by bright red relatively inexpensive canvas sneakers.
