Steve Painting

Rudolf Rox, born in Königswinter in 1965, trained as a painter and decorator and qualified successfully as a master tradesman at the Cologne Chamber of Crafts in April 1992. He lives and works in Rheinbreitbach/Germany. Painting has fascinated him since his youth, especially the portrayal of people. He is equally interested in colours and their impact. The focus of his contemporary painting is in the illustration of expressive and sometimes trendy/colourful portraits, whereby he always aims to create a relationship between colour symbolism and the person or subject being portrayed. In contrast to conventional pop art, he refers to his work as expressive pop.
