We are putting a knife to our own throats. And our enemies are using it. Why in the world would we import more of this?America was not founded as an experiment in immigration. Our Founding Fathers were establishing a new Europe within a new order; English law combined with Greek and Roman political structures, all infused with Enlightenment philosophy. Past eras of mass immigration into America were not idealistic periods of welcoming new elements into our nation's 'melting pot.' These were times of lawlessness, graft, corruption and religious conflict. These were times that created slums and tenements and produced the inner city problems with which we still grapple today: crime, poverty, illiteracy, unemployment and increasing social costs. Today, there is an even more pressing problem within immigration: our National Security.
