Cori Nicole Smith Wamsley writes fun, quirky books for adults and children based on experiences that she found magical, interesting, or perplexing.
Cori's Martina Mackenzie series was spawned from her experience working in an ice cream shop---which just feels whimsical---and her love for mystery and fantasy books. It is about a girl who takes her friends through an ice cream machine on a journey to help fairies, elves, and other creatures discover what is happening to their secret world.
Confessions of the Editor Brigand exposes Cori's soul as the main character, Zhanna, struggles with her desire for perfect written communication and why it isn't taken seriously. Cori and Zhanna also both find online dating, especially the profiles, amusing (Zhanna spends a lot of time perusing them with her friends).
Books credited as "Cori Wamsley":
The Knight and the Ninjas is Cori's first children's book---an epic poem. It features a clumsy knight charged with rescuing a princess from a dragon. When he falls through a magic mirror and lands in Japan, he meets ninjas, discovers his strengths, and achieves his quest with some help from his new friends.
Monkey Mermaid Magic, a book that Cori cowrote with her daughter London, features a stuffed monkey that comes to life and grants the wishes of two little girls. They learn an important lesson about feelings and how our words can hurt people unintentionally along the way.
Cori also helps coaches, speakers, and other leaders write books that help them connect with their audience and drive them back to the writer to help them with their biggest challenges. These authors use their books to grow their businesses, helping them book more speaking gigs and fill their calendar with ideal clients.
Cori holds a bachelor's in biology, a bachelor's in English, and a master's in English, all from West Virginia University.
