Copaiba Essential Oil (Rectified ) - Copaifera officinalis L - Brazil The tall copaiba tree belongs to the Fabaceae family & is found in South America. It has many uses; as fuel wood, tannin & to produce copaiba balsam. The oleoresin is created from tapping the bark & then distilled to produce the oil. Please note our version of Copaiba has been rectified, in simple terms during distillation process the molecules with no olfactory value are removed from the essential oil, while the desired molecules are concentrated. This is the reason why our oil is relatively more expensive then other brands selling similar oil that has not been rectified. Used as a base & a fixative, Copaiba blends well with Musks, Roman chamomile, Cedarwood, ylang ylang & frankincense oil. in addition it is widely used for its therapeutic properties.
