Sun dances on a lush San Diego walkway in "Balboa". I spent a good portion my twenties in San Diego, a time of carelessness, play, & growth. The playful nature of the light reflects that here. This painting was inspired by a photo taken by a good friend who still lives there, Rachel DeGeorge, & ended up being the study for a much larger painting of this same vantage point entitled "Where California Began". This smaller one is looser & includes some structural components that I left out of the bigger version. The original was painted with oil, acrylic & gouache on wood panel (pictured in the last listing image) PRINT DETAILS: - This is an archival print of my original painting. - Each print is signed on the front. - Frame & mat are NOT included. - All of my prints are produced with professional art materials including pigment-based inks & archival Somerset Velvet fine art paper. -In order to keep your print in great condition it is important to frame with archival materials (mats, backing board, etc.), keep out of direct sunlight, & UV glass if you really want to go all-out! SIZE: - Paper is larger than the listed size, as there is a ~1.25" white border around the actual image to enable easier matting, or float mounting to display the deckled edges of the paper. - Image itself is shrunk down ~1/4" from size listed to expose signature line when matted or framed in the corresponding standard sized mat/frame. SHIPPING: Shipped USPS Priority Mail in a flat protective sleeve with sturdy backing board in a rigid mailer. INTERNATIONAL ORDERS: If you're placing an order for shipment outside of the United States, you may be required to pay additional VAT or customs fees. Some countries may require that the parcel be picked up from a local customs office to remit these fees.
