Made to the exact standards as used around 1922-28 by the Auto Club of Southern California. the sign shown here was posted at the junction of El Cajon Boulevard & Magnolia Ave. in Bostonia, California - now subsumed by an ever-expanding El Cajon. these two highways were later numbered US Route 80, & State Route 67, several years after these diamonds were posted. The original of these, complete with the logo of the Automobile Club of Southern California, sold at auction a little while back for many, many thousands of dollars. This sign is a faithful remake to the correct size (18 inches on a side, or about 25 1/2 inches up & down between the points), & weighs about 8 pounds, 4 ounces. please note that I can make a diamond sign for any set of destinations. inquire about custom orders! This is a high quality, heavy steel sign. Accept no imitations that may be one-third this price, but are one-tenth the quality. No cheap tin to be found here, with the wrong fonts, layouts, size, shape, or any other manner of embarrassing imperfection.
