The cloud monolith is the perfect harmony between masculine & feminine design. Soft curves with smooth concrete gives you a statement piece that is years in the making. Despite the massive brutalist feel, these tables weigh only about 40-50 lbs & 120 lbs for the coffee table. That's achieved by using 99.9% recycled styrofoam in with the cement to make the concrete, which is also hollowed out saving, literally, what would otherwise be hundreds of pounds. Please read below for the inspiration for the piece that has fast become the hallmark of my brand. in addition to this table being an Etsy Design Award finalist, Patrick also makes select colors & sizes available to West Elm (though West Elm charges you for shipping, Etsy will not). The concrete is sealed heavily enough for commercial use, meaning it can take acids for hours, if no days, before any issues arise. Water will evaporate off long before it has any effect on the table top. For $100 extra, we can add a barrier film that gives you 5 year indoor commercial warrantee, 2 year outdoor. It is the same sealant used as high end hotels such as the SLS uses on their stone goods. So, it's really really good. The tables site on adjustable plastic feet, so the concrete never actually touches the ground & can safely be slide across any flooring. Dimensions are about 17.25" long, 12" wide & 15.5/22" tall, depending on the size you choose. The coffee table is 34.25 x 24.125 x 16" tall. The coffee table will be palletized when shipped, for what it's worth. Everything is made by hand & as such will have some variation. Colors can be customized, sizes not so easily. The best way to custom the length or width is a with an over sized piece of glass on top of it, message me & I'll send you a photo you want I'm talking about. If we were to have to make a new mold the price would start at $4k. If you're looking for more than one color in an ombre like fade, just let me know which two colors you want & which color you want on the surface of the table. Inspiration: For the past year Patrick has turned inward. Taking a cue from the fashion world's push towards maximalism, PCD is betting big that the next design wave will bring back the aesthetic of brutalism indoors. For Cain to embrace this & make his next big step forward, he had to look inward & actually take leaps backward to his early years as a child. Growing up outside Albany, NY, he was surrounded by brutalist masterpieces of Wallace Harrison, the designer of the United Nations & Metropolitan Opera. The tiny state capitol boasts its power through its concrete-filled state plaza. As a child the plaza was both a concrete jungle to be played on & an education to the beauty of boldness. in PCD's newest line, Cain tackles the feeling of these brutalist pieces. The first in the line is The Cloud Monolith. A side table/ bedside table/ coffee table mixes the seriousness inherent in a concrete monoliths with the playfulness of Ettore Sottsass & the original
