The Black Flying Raven This is a large, full scale version of a real soaring raven... & ravens are Big! The wingspan is 40 inches & the body is 21 inches long. Layered heavy black steel plates are formed, welded & bolted to create a dramatic sculpture for indoor or outdoor display. The layers are slightly separated & the deeply notched primary flight feathers are curved & formed specifically to enhance the shape & create dramatic shadows. Heavy steel lends itself as the perfect medium by evoking power, strength & character. Modern, Rustic or Minimalist, Indoor or out, Black steel works with any decor. Tabs are incorporated into the back for hanging with 2 solidly mounted screws. They also hold the sculpture off the wall about an inch to enhance the shape & shadow.
