This is a wonderful piece of very old Dartmouth College ephemera. It is the official college catalog from the academic year of 1868-1869. Hard to believe that something that dates from just after the Civil War is still around & in relatively very good condition for its age. This catalog offers a window into the world of Dartmouth's Classical program of studies at the time. Besides listing faculty of both the college & medical schools, there is a list of students divided by graduating year. There is also the same information for The Chandler Scientific Department. as well as fit the New Hampshire College of Agriculture & Me handicap Arts. There is info regarding the facilites, tuition & scholarships for " indigent" students. Diplomas & courses of study are also included. A fascinating window into education at a private college almost 160 years ago! The catalog is complete, but pages are loosening a bit from the corded spine.
