Elegant & sophisticated gold wood picture frame. showing some wear & age. Probably made in the 1950 to 1970 period, the frame is in square & structurally sound. The relief is more subdued than the rococo period, with fancy stamped composite wood ornaments in a subtle & deep inset. The frame measures about 15" by 12 3/4" & it is about 1 5/8" deep. The inset area for your picture or art is about 9 3/4" by 7 1/2", so it might accept your trimmed 8 x 10 canvas, art board, or photo, or it can fit a smaller art piece. The frame shows some minor abrasions & wear & tear, especially along the perimeter edges, & some of the gold wash along the perimeter edges is worn, revealing the barn red undercoat.
