Description
This original watercolour is a loose interpretation of the freshwater lake known as Loe Pool in the Penrose Estate, Cornwall. I wanted to capture the soft colours of the sunrise reflected in the pool. It is a loose, expressive piece that I painted entirely without any initial drawing. I saturated the paper with water & then let the paint do it's thing! This is a textural painting, I used the end of my paint tube to draw the paint out into the reeds & grasses. I have painted this in artist quality Daniel Smith watercolours on cold pressed watercolour paper. The image is 39cm x 39cm. It is unframed but you have the option of having it mounted (matted) in a soft, off-white mount with backing. The mount widths would be 2.5" all around & the outside of the mount 20" x 20" which will fit any readymade frame of that size. If it is not mounted it will be rolled & posted in a sturdy cardboard tube, with a mount & it will be posted flat.
