Description

We all love to hit thrift shops. This scarf was made from a bag full of funky vintage crocheted granny squares. Squares were repaired & any unfinished squares were finished. Black yarn was then crocheted around each square & they were stitched together. Boho style fringe was added to complete the look. Finally, it was hand washed & dried it in the sunshine. Voila! A hippie scarf! This is a lot of scarf & it is rather wide! It is 8 ft. long. Each square is 7.5 inches wide x 8.5 inches long! It would even work as a shoulder wrap! From the colors & textures of the yarn used on these granny squares, it is estimated to date back to the sixties. It is mainly acrylic but due to it being older it is suggested that it be gently hand washed in mild soap. Dry flat or hang up & let it drip dry. Shake out well to untangle any fringe that twists up during washing. You could even comb the fringe for best results.
