Late afternoon sun enters the frame from the left & casts medium-long tumbleweed shadows on a rippled sandy ground. These tumbleweeds, golden-tan in color, are numerous & consume the bottom two-thirds of the horizontal composition. Growing out of nearly white-colored sand, the contrast from the tumbleweeds is significant. Beyond this golden peppered landscape is a blue lake backed by desert mountains in dappled light. Above the mountains are clusters of white clouds which are in front of a pale-blue sky.
