I have been collecting records for most of my life & have always had a special place in my heart for 78's. Many years ago I was at an estate sale & there were boxes & piles of 78's stacked up all over the place. As I was going through them, I started piling up all of the ones I wanted to buy off to the side, & as I went through, I kept finding all of these great old record labels so the pile I was making just kept getting bigger. Finally the guy running the estate sales sees the size of the pile of records I was interested in, & tells me he really wants to get rid of the entire collection & asked if I'd give him 40 bucks for entire lot. I told him the records were worth more than that & he said he didn't care, he wanted to unload everything in the house & at one point stated he almost threw them out. Obviously I jumped at his offer. I was driving a Ford Explorer at the time, & with the back seat down, still managed to fill the entire truck with records. I have been obsessed with 78 RPM records ever since.
