There should be no ridges or waves because the label cannot bond unless it is laying flat onto the item. They work great on school items, lunch boxes, sippy cups, bottles - basically anything that is plastic, metal or paper. Name labels are not intended for clothes. Our iron on labels will do that job. Name labels are waterproof & are safe for dishwasher & microwave. They last for approximately 35-50 washings through the dishwasher Iron-on clothing labels are for clothing, blankets, jackets - any sort of fabric They need to be applied with a hot iron & can go through the washing machine Please let the label & fabric bond for 24 hours before washing All items are matte & not shiny.
